Rose Cottage was used as the Overseers' Office.  It was built between 1850 and 1860 of snecked limestone ashlar and has a hipped slate roof with an ashlar ridge chimney stack.  Single storey, it has two rooms, each with it's own entrance, one with a bay window from which the Overseer could over see the work going on in the Dockyard.
