WAKE STREET

Wake Street was, in 1914, a purely residential street that ran off Russell Place, Central Park Avenue, towards what was at that time Exhibition Fields but later became part of Central Park.

Although engine driver Mr W Lodge lived at number 31, the only business in the Street was that of Mr C H Gerry, general dealer, at number 1.
