Built up against the southernmost wall of the Gun Wharf/Morice Yard is Number 2 Store, which consists of two entirely separate buildings joined together.

The westernmost of the two buildings is constructed of dunstone with a rough stringcourse and a hipped, slated roof.  The seven windows are said to be largely original and a feature of interest inside is the unusual king and queen post roof construction.

The second part of Number 2 Store, at the eastern end, has the date of 1776 on a rainwater head, was originally used as a small workshop.  It is constructed of ashlar and squared grey limestone, with a stringcourse.  It is said that the interior was originally equipped with wooden tramways and wall cranes.  It was latterly used as a Furbishers' Shop.

Under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 and succeeding legislation Number 2 Store has Listed Building Grade 2* status.
