KIT HILL GROUND FRAME

The Kit Hill Ground Frame, originally a small wooden hut at ground level, was opened on March 2nd 1908 to control the access to Kit Hill Siding.  At that time it had only two levers.

In December 1927 the hut was removed and the frame reduced to one, open-air, lever.

Kit Hill Ground Frame was taken out of use on December 21st 1954, when Kit Hill Siding was removed.
